Mr. B's menu is a testament to New Orleans' vibrant culinary heritage, showcasing standout dishes that tease and delight the palate. The BBQ Shrimp Half is a signature favorite—the succulent shrimp bathed in a complex, buttery, spicy sauce that linger’s lovingly on the tongue, inviting you to savor each mouthful. For a quintessential taste of the bayou, the Gumbo Ya Ya offers a rich, hearty blend of spices and seafood that warms you from the inside out.

Start with enticing starters like the Duck Springrolls—crispy wrappers hiding tender duck confit paired with shiitake mushrooms, spinach, and creamy goat cheese, served alongside a zingy ginger-soy dipping sauce that perfectly balances richness and freshness. Equally irresistible are the Crispy Fried Oysters, flash-fried to golden perfection and served with a spicy jalapeño tartar sauce that packs a bold punch.

Mains showcase the depth and diversity of the bistro’s offerings. The Wood Grilled Fish, flame-kissed over a wood fire and served with lemon butter or Meuniere sauce, offers a delicate, smoky flavor profile that pairs beautifully with parsley new potatoes and fresh vegetables. Meat lovers can indulge in the sumptuous Honey Ginger Glazed Pork Chop, where sweet and spicy notes converge with beautifully cooked pork for an unforgettable entree.

Save room for dessert—Mr. B's balance of tradition and creativity shines here too. The Bread Pudding, steeped in a Brennan family recipe, arrives warm, decadently rich with eggs, cream, and butter, perfectly finished with a drizzle of Irish whiskey sauce that feels like a heartfelt embrace. Alternatively, the Hot Buttered Pecan Pie doused in creamy caramel sauce offers a luscious finale, while the airy Profiteroles with Chocolate Sauce provide an elegant, sweet contrast to the bolder flavors before.

Patrons consistently praise the immersive experience—whether seated at the bar enjoying expertly crafted Bloody Marys or nestled at a table with impeccable service, the vibe is unmistakably true to New Orleans’ spirit. First of all, Cristina was wonderful such a joy. She gave us so much history about the Brennan family and the restaurant and New Orleans. This restaurant is a gem, fantastic menu options, creative with chef inspired unique options. This is a Restaurant that should be on your list anytime you go to New Orleans, as well as any of the restaurants in the Brennan family. We also learned that emeril Lagasse. Came out of the kitchen at the commander, which is another one of the Brennan restaurants. The drinks are fantastic and their selection of liquor is top shelf. At the end of the meal, don’t forget to ask for the blueberry bourbon sorbet it’s not on the desert menu and it will blow you away. Thank you. We will be back. PS make sure you make a reservation

I’m home for Christmas. One of my first stops? Mr B’s Bistro at the corner of Royal St and Iberville, the best address in the French Quarter. Quintessential New Orleans. The olde guarde, one of NOLA's most respected restaurant families...taking it into the 21st century. And they do it. A well appointed wine and drinks list. The best crab cakes you’ll ever have. So full of sweet succulent crab you’ll wonder how they hold together. Shrimp and grits in red eye gravy, I’ll say it tho they don’t because I know how to make it. The perfect burger, house made. Steak. Duck. Chicken. Pork. Pastalaya, it’s a south Louisiana thing. Several classic gumbos. Perfectly presented salads. Their claim to fame. Mr B's BBQ shrimp. Baked in the shell, so you peel them. Yeah ya get a bib. My personal favorite, dessert. It changes with the season. Right now. Bread pudding in Irish whiskey sauce. Amazing. What never changes? The stellar service. Try it y'all, you won’t regret it. I have a secret, not really it’s on their website but it’s important … Parking They offer discount valet parking at Solari's Garage located at 721 Iberville Street. The cost is $5 per car for up to 3 hours. You can enter Mr. B's via the door entrance in the Garage.

The duck spring rolls were delicious and the barbecue shrimp was good too. The sauce was the best part. Table service was in full swing but I was able to find a spot at the bar. The bartenders were great and it was still an experience even while sitting at the bar top. Will definitely be back!

Went in for thanksgiving lunch and was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar. Great atmosphere, food and service. Emeril was holding court at a corner table and Cindy Brennen said hi at our end if the bar. I had seafood gumbo and the grilled red fish. Wife had the gumbo ya ya and barbecue shrimp. Everything was delicious and the staff was awesome.

Very modern, elegant environment. The balsamic used is the salad was the most tasty I've had for a while. Both the fish and duck entrées were very good. You have the same wait staff throughout the meal, which is not always the case in New Orleans. The price certainly reflected the quality.

We loved the whole experience although I would say the duck spring rolls were just not for us. The goat cheese was just way too over powering, but the sauce it was served with helped me get them down. The bbq shrimp sauce was so good it's crazy though. We enjoyed the free bread and butter while we waited. Bathrooms were very nice as well
